Five questions to ask any clinic before you book for dizziness
Vertigo is not a general orthopedic problem. Here is what we would want to know, and our answers.
- Is the whole visit 1-on-1 with a physical therapist?Yes. 60 minutes, no aides, no shared schedule.
- Do they watch your eye movements with infrared video goggles?Yes. Goggles block light so we can see nystagmus and find the affected canal.
- Is the care led by a certified vestibular specialist?Yes. Dr. Patel is a Certified Vestibular Specialist with 15+ years in outpatient care.
- Is the room calm enough for a dizzy or concussed brain?Yes. Quiet, low-stimulation private rooms.
- Do you know the price before you arrive?Yes. We verify your insurance first, and our self-pay, out-of-network and high-deductible rate is a flat $129 per visit.
How it works
Most people are booked within days and leave the first visit with a clear plan.
Call or request a time
Pick Cumming or Alpharetta. Urgent cases get a 48-hour slot.
Get tested, not guessed
Infrared goggle and eye-movement testing, balance screening and a neck assessment in one 60-minute visit.
Start treatment
Many BPPV patients improve in 1 to 3 visits. Complex cases get a step-by-step plan. Results vary.

Vertigo treatment questions
Short answers. Call us for anything specific to you.
Do I need a doctor's referral to see a vertigo specialist in Georgia?
No referral is needed to start. Georgia law lets you begin physical therapy without one. If your care continues past 21 days or 8 visits, Georgia requires a referral from your physician, and we coordinate that with your doctor's office. Some insurance plans have their own rules, so we check your benefits first.
How fast can I be seen for vertigo?
We hold urgent evaluation slots and offer 48-hour appointments. Call (470) 380-7007 or request an appointment online.
How many visits does BPPV treatment take?
Many BPPV cases improve in 1 to 3 visits. Complex conditions such as vestibular migraine, PPPD or post-concussion dizziness typically take longer. Individual results vary.
Do you take insurance, and what does it cost?
We are in-network with Traditional Medicare, BlueCross BlueShield (BCBS) / Anthem and Tricare. We also accept Auto MedPay, personal injury attorney liens (Letters of Protection) and Workers' Compensation, with $0 out-of-pocket at your visit. For self-pay patients, out-of-network plans and high deductibles, including Aetna, Cigna and UnitedHealthcare, we offer a $129 flat rate per 60-minute visit, for vertigo and dizziness care and for neck or back pain. Itemized superbills are available on request, and HSA and FSA cards are accepted.
Do you treat concussions and car accident injuries?
Yes. Concussion, whiplash, dizziness after a crash and neck or back injuries are a core part of our practice. Letters of Protection, Auto MedPay and Workers' Comp are accepted with $0 at your visit.
When is dizziness an emergency?
Call 911 for sudden severe headache, face drooping, weakness or numbness, trouble speaking, double vision, chest pain, or fainting along with dizziness. These can be signs of stroke or another emergency.
Is Bodyset Physical Therapy now North Atlanta Vertigo & Physical Therapy?
Yes. Bodyset Inc. now does business as NORTH ATLANTA VERTIGO & PHYSICAL THERAPY, with the same Doctor of Physical Therapy, Dr. Manan Patel. If you were a Bodyset patient, you are in the right place, and bodysetpt.com redirects to this site.
Is your Austell clinic moving to Cumming?
Yes. Our Austell clinic is moving to Cumming at 566 Peachtree Pkwy, Ste 124, off GA-400 Exit 13. If you were seen in Austell, call (470) 380-7007 and we will schedule you at the Cumming clinic.
